Job Description
As the Director of Development, you are responsible along with the Executive Director for managing donor and external relations to support a $2.5MM budget organization. This role is responsible for directly soliciting and stewarding significant
donor relationships - including individual and corporate supporters - and supporting the work of the Grants Manager to create a well-rounded portfolio of support. The Director of Development is responsible for major fundraising events and mailings throughout the year. This role directly supervises the Development and Communications team, coordinating across the organization to ensure timely and
effective communication and a cohesive approach to organizational messaging, funding needs, and relationship management.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and grow a shared portfolio of individual donors, corporate relationships, and key external funders in partnership with the Executive
    Director to secure support for the organization’s mission of advancing LGBTQ+ equity. Personally solicit individual donors for support including both current use and planned (estate) gifts. (40%)
  • Support and manage the Development and Communications team as direct supervisor; and provide coordinated leadership across teams within the organization.(25%)
  • Work collaboratively to support a coordinated messaging strategy that ensures donors and key stakeholders have effective multimedia communications about the organization’s work and needs - including annual appeals, reports, and other projects as needed throughout the year. Help to communicate internally about key tools and templates for departments to engage their audiences and grow the organization’s reach and engagement. (20%)
  •  Organize and lead key organizational events including OutFront’s annual fundraising gala, hosted fundraisers, and support for other fundraising opportunities in our communities throughout the year. (10%)
  • Other duties as assigned. (5%)

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in donor and external relations work with demonstrated success at increasing engagement and support.
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff, projects, and teams.
  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Strong time and deadline management, and ability to foster strong team relationships, since the essence of the work involves collaborative efforts while managing deadlines

  • Knowledge about and commitment to current LGBTQ+ issues

  • Strong commitment to equity for LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, people of color, transgender people, youth, elders

  • Proven ability and desire to work across differences such as race, gender, ethnicity, age, religious identity, and other aspects of identity

  • Desire for coaching and learning new things

Job Description 
As the Religious and Faith-Based Organizer, you are responsible for supporting and growing organizing efforts across the state in faith-based spaces of all traditions and through communities of religious and spiritual practice. These efforts complement our broader community organizing work by deepening engagement with supportive faith-based spaces and networks, supporting faith-based communities to confront and engage white Christian nationalist narratives, and deepening coalition partnerships to support faith-based voices on our communities' issues. Key project based responsibilities will include supporting events, organizing efforts, and coalition spaces.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • 35%: Directly support and lead on OutFront Minnesota’s work in shared Rights, Faith, and Democracy cohort and other coalition spaces collectively engaging around issues of faith narratives, and areas of public education and policy intersections 
  • 30%: Support, cultivate, and grow OutFront Minnesota’s faith-based networks and engaged religious communities through the work of our In Good Faith network and existing faith-based organizing structures.
  • 20%: Provide training to religious and faith-based organizations and community spaces around LGBTQ+ equity and inclusion work.
  • 10%: With the full organization, participate in and support staff-wide events including, but not limited to, Pride Celebrations, annual Youth Summit, Lobby Day, and Gala. 
  • 5%: Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in community organizing or related work; with a strong preference for organizing experience with religious or faith-based community spaces.
  • Ability to travel regularly for community events and organizing work throughout the state.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete independent work within a collaborative small team environment.
  • Knowledge about and commitment to current LGBTQ+ issues

Job Description
As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for supporting the organization through work across teams to support core contracted services, shared event logistics, and administrative tasks to keep the functions of the organization running smoothly and consistently. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with staff across each department, the Operations Manager provides functional support to many aspects of work and helps to coordinate shared work outside of departmental areas of focus.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • 30%: In partnership with the Executive Director, manage central operations work including HR Onboarding/Offboarding processes, supporting the work of maintaining essential filings and benefits, supporting the administration of time tracking and pay/benefits, and maintaining the physical and digital files of the organization.
  • 30%: Support general financial operations at the institution including making cash and check deposits, supporting the Development team as needed with gift entry and processing, working with Accounting to support invoicing and bill payment, and working with team members to ensure timely receipt and reimbursement processing.
  • 25%: Events coordination
  • 5%: Support volunteers who staff events and other tasks in the office, help to provide consistent onboarding, schedule management, and logistics support.
  • 5%: Ask a first point of contact to direct general email, phone, and written inquiries in the organization to their appropriate points of contact.
  • 5%: Other duties as assigned.
