The last few years have been a transformational time for OutFront Minnesota, as we’ve seen with many organizations and businesses around us. In light of an executive leadership transition, a global pandemic, and a racial justice reckoning in our community, we’re intentionally regrounding ourselves in the work of LGBTQ+ equity and striving to be more strategic about our place in this justice movement. Part of this reassessment is a decision about the physical space we use for our daily work. We have been at Sabathani Community Center for the vast majority of our 38 years, and are grateful to them for all they have done for OutFront. As of April 1, 2022, OutFront Minnesota will be moving out of Sabathani Community Center. Our move-in date for our new office is scheduled for May 1, 2022, and we will be located at 2446 University Ave West in St. Paul. 

Our new office layout, with design input directly from staff, is more reflective of our organization’s priorities and community needs. We’ll be more accessible to our clients and stakeholders, closer to the capitol for our organizing work, and in the hub of non-profit activity in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. We will have the appropriate facilities for anyone that visits, community gathering space, and increased proximity to many of our partner organizations. 

With the move, we are exploring a hybrid return to the office policy that will meet public health best practices while giving our staff team flexibility to meet their daily work responsibilities.  In the meantime, we continue holding sessions with program clients on an appointment-only basis, and will be reassessing drop-in opportunities throughout the year depending on public health best practices.
