So, Why Tool Shed?

Just as each community has different needs and varied approaches to change that will work for them, each tool shed session is going to look different and be made of an array of materials. We believe that it is important to get to building what is being asked for, and not to control or dictate how or what is being used to build it to begin with. We are here to offer suggestions of structure, advice from our own lessons learned, and most importantly—how to start with a good foundation and not go into it alone.

We have developed 10 sessions (so far!), which will each be roughly 2 hours long. You can participate in as many or as few as you’d like! If all 10 are completed, OutFront Minnesota is offering a certificate of completion and provide guidance for individuals to bring this project to their own communities. Each session will be facilitated by our Twin Cities Organizer and will have additional guest speakers from a wide range of backgrounds and identities.

Session themes will vary month-month and may be responsive to current events. Sessions will be announced no later than one week prior to its set Tuesday time.
