KTOE: OutFront MN praises Supreme Court decision, says much work remains to be done

While many are praising the Supreme Court’s ruling this week that people can’t be fired over sexual orientation and gender identity, Jacob Thomas with OutFront Minnesota says there is still plenty of work to be done.

“You know our nation is in the middle of national uprisings around huge issues with regard to equality, not only for LGBTQ+ people, but for black lives, and black trans lives specifically.”

Thomas says violence against the trans community–particularly black trans women–is an “epidemic” and it must be stopped. He says American has much to do to dismantle both legal and cultural systems of racism.
