Community Action Trainings

A plenary session and breakout group discussion at two Community Action Trainings organized by OutFront Minnesota and Minnesotans United for All Families in September 2011.

In the first half of 2013, we will work to pass state legislation for safe schools and expand the freedom to marry for same-sex couples, led again by Minnesotans United. Our Community Action Trainings will support, educate, train and mobilize Minnesotans on these issues!

Because of our work together in previous years, we are starting from a strong foundation.

Join us to learn about legislation and statewide plans, prepare to communicate with legislators, and leave with specific next steps for you and your community.You can also help recruit and welcome participants, bring snacks to nourish us and lead portions of the training. Register here.

Upcoming trainings:

• Marshall, 10am-1pm, Saturday, February 2 at the Adult Community Center, 107 4th Street, Marshall. RSVP to Sue at 507-476-8335. Organized by PFLAG, Minnesotans United and OutFront.
• Rochester, 10am-4pm, Saturday,February 9. Check in starts at 9:30 am. Training will be from 10am-4pm. Peace United Church of Christ, 1503 Second Avenue NE, Rochester. Organized by Minnesotans United and OutFront Minnesota with Wellstone Action. RSVP to Gale at 507-259-6443 or email Andy Mundt.
